About Us

Hi! I’m Derek McCurry, owner of LowPro Mounts. I design and manufacture low-profile red dot mounts and other accessories for popular rimfire platforms, including Ruger and Tippmann.

LowPro Mounts started as an extension of my passion for competitive Steel Challenge (SCSA) and Rimfire Challenge (RCSA) shooting. As a mechanical engineer, I naturally began designing and making custom accessories to improve my own firearms. I shared some of those designs with fellow enthusiasts in Facebook groups and online forums and the response was far greater than I expected.

After hearing from shooters who wanted mounts and accessories for their own pistols, I decided to make them available to a wider audience. That’s how LowPro Mounts was born.

Today, I continue to design, manufacture, and test my products with the same mindset that started it all: build practical, well-designed accessories for a reasonable price that I’d be proud to use myself. Thanks for supporting my small business and being part of the LowPro Mounts community!
