FAQ

Q: Why are the mounts made out of PA12 nylon instead of aluminum?
A: PA12 nylon is an engineering-grade thermoplastic with high strength, impact resistance, wear resistance, chemical resistance, and dimensional accuracy. It is also low cost which is what allows me to keep the price low. PA12 nylon is sufficiently strong for rimfire firearms, especially the Ruger Mark I/II/III/IV pistol because the red dot is mounted to a barrel that doesn’t reciprocate.

Q: Is the mount durable and will it hold zero?
A: Yes, LowPro mounts are very durable and will hold zero long-term. They are used by many competitive shooters who shoot tens of thousands of rounds annually.

Q: How are the mounts made?
A: The mounts are additively manufactured on an industrial-grade 3D printer. The strength, quality, and surface finish is comparable to injection-molding.

Q: Where are the mounts made?
A: The mounts are designed by me, a mechanical engineer, and manufactured in Michigan.

Q: Where do the mounts ship from?
A: The mounts ship from my home in Atlanta, GA
